Identifying an agenda item at this week’s regular session of the Huntsville City Council as “the first step in the process,” City Manager Aron Kulhavy told councilmembers, “We have received a letter from Sam Houston State University requesting to abandon the section of 17th Street between Bobby K. Marks and Bearkat with the intent to develop a property adjacent to it in the future.”
After efforts by both sides regarding the property are finished, the matter will come back to the council for their decision.
