The Courier of Montgomery County has passed along Christmas celebrations that are on tap across the county on Saturday.
Conroe’s Christmas festival takes place from 11 AM to 4 PM downtown at 500 Metcalf.
With free admission, Heritage Park will feature camel and pony rides, two hills of snow, a train and a petting zoo. At the intersection of Texas 75 and FM 2854 in downtown Conroe at 1 PM, the Conroe Kiwanis Christmas Parade gets underway.
A parade in Montgomery will begin at 10 AM and move through Downtown Montgomery. At the Old Community Building at 14420 Liberty Street, a holiday market is planned from 9 AM to 5 PM. From 4 to 8 PM, the 46th Annual Candlelight Home Tour is underway. To purchase tickets, go to mhs-tx.org.
In Willis at 10 AM, the “Merry and Bright” Christmas parade begins. Participants are to go to Wildkat Drive in Willis for the parade line up. Their route is down North Danville to Thompson. It will then turn right on MLK and keep going until Campbell Street where it will move north and return to Wildkat Drive.
In partnership with Revolutionary Education Incorporated, Lone Star College hosts the Boston Tea Party 250th Anniversary festival. It’s slated to go from 10 AM to 3 PM. At the event, Santa Claus will be on hand, and snow slides will be available. Food trucks and live entertainment will also be at the event.
On Saturday and Sunday, “The Nutcracker” will be presented by Backstage Dance Studio from 2 to 5:30 PM at Montgomery High School. Those interested can get tickets at ticketpeak.co/backstage.
