Total ballots cast in Walker County for the elections came in at 6,950, which is a total voter turnout of 19.08%.
Unofficial results show:
Russell Humphrey is the new mayor of Huntsville winning over 79.29% of the vote. With John Jafreh at 20.71%
Tore Fossum ran unopposed for Ward 1 Huntsville Councilmember.
For Ward 2 Councilmember Huntsville, Casey Cox beat Yolanda M. Scott by 58.96 percent of the vote to Yolanda M. Scott’s 41.04%.
For Ward 3 Councilmember Huntsville, Annisa Antwine wins the position with 61.77% of the vote. Russell Barnett had 31.50 % of the vote, while Benjamin J. Sessions had 6.73%.
For Ward 4 Councilmember Huntsville, Jon Skelly Strong ran unopposed.
For HISD School Board Trustee Position 4, John Hendricks won with 60.26% of the vote. Ryan LeNorman had 39.74% of the vote.
For HISD School Board Trustee Position 5, Cathy Schweitzer ran unopposed.
For New Waverly ISD School Board Trustee Position 1, Shawn Byler won with 59.34% of the vote and Steve VanWagner came in with 40.66% of the vote.
For New Waverly ISD School Board Trustee Position 2, Greg Buckner ran unopposed.
For New Waverly ISD School Board Trustee Position 3, Jacob Slott ran unopposed.
For Mayor for the City of New Waverly, Nathaniel James won with 70.67% of the vote. Eugene Walters had 29.33 % of the vote.
For Councilmember City of New Waverly Michael Lucas came out on top with 37.20% of the vote, while the other candidates for the two seat race Cynthia Vance tied at 31.40% of the vote with Chad Petross at 31.40%.
For Mayor of Riverside, Heidi Tutor won with 65.71% of the vote, while John LeMaire had 34.29 % of the vote.
In a two-seat race for Councilmember of the City of Riverside, Harvey Hughett and Virginia Plummer ran unopposed
