In Huntsville Police news, looking back over the past few days:
Last Friday, a sexual assault that had occurred a few days earlier was investigated in the 500 block of FM 2821 West. A purse was stolen by an unknown suspect in the 100 block of I-45. Another theft by an unknown person was investigated in the 400 block of Brunch. In a case of aggravated assault in the 2300 block of Sycamore, an unknown suspect pointed a gun at their victim.
On Saturday, in the 200 block of I-45 South, two unknown suspects stole property by not making a payment. In a burglary case, in the 2500 block of Lake Road, a possibly known suspect forced entry into an apartment and assaulted the occupant. In the 500 block of FM 2821, Carlos Chavez was arrested for municipal warrants and possession of marijuana.
On Sunday, in the 2200 block of Sam Houston Avenue, the driver of a vehicle struck another vehicle and abandoned the scene on foot, abandoning a crashed vehicle. Property was damaged in a case of criminal mischief in the 2800 block of Lake Road. In the 600 block of Hickory Drive, in a residential burglary case, a known person made a false report to a police officer. A vehicle was stolen in the 1500 block of 11th Street.
