The Courier of Montgomery County reports that thousands of new homes are coming to Conroe because of recent residential projects underway.
The initial sections of several new development projects which are getting started will increase the housing inventory to choose from.
City of Conroe information shows that 112 single-family lots are coming to the city produced by the Sagecrest development on Teas Nursery Road.
The majority of the residential lots will be available as 40-foot lots, according to Assistant City Administrator and Director of Community Development Nancy Mikeska. She said the home start is “in the upper $200,000.”
Ms. Mikeska said the subdivision itself will be “very small.” She described them as “quality homes.”
Sagecrest’s maximum development will take in 383 acres, offering about 266 homes.
Near McCaleb Road, 340 residential lots will be available at Clopton Farms. Ms. Mikesa passed along that it will have 43 single-family lots on 37 acres.
The Municipal Utility District No. 142 had their request to the Conroe City Council in July approved for the annexing of 15 acres into The Courtyard at Barton Park development. The new effort is under development by A-1 Monument Enterprises, spanning a little over 151 acres. The move brings an additional 54 single-family lots.
The council approved, in a different action, a second MUD 142 request for a 19-acre annexation into Camillo Properties’ Mackenzie Creek subdivision. An additional 86 single-family lots will be the result of the annexation, raising the total to 694.
