When Walker County Commissioners met for a regular session this week, they were required to conduct a record vote on on the proposed tax rate for the October 1st, 2023 through September 30th, 2024 budget to include the Notice of Meeting to Vote on the Proposed Tax rate.
Commissioner White read the wording suggested for that motion.
The two “No” votes were from Judge Christian and Commissioner Decker. The public hearing on the proposed tax rate will be August 28th at 9:05 AM at the courthouse. The public hearing on the proposed budget will be at 9:00 AM on August 28th at the courthouse.
