Title: KSAM/KHVL Programming Internship
Reports to: Bryan Reeder, Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the programming of KSAM and KHVL music and sports formats
- Assist in research, planning, and execution of programming and sales promotions
- Assist in production of advertising, promotional, and imaging audio
- Assist in production of live and syndicated shows
- Assist in planning, set up, and execution of station remote broadcasts and events
- Learn and assist in studio operations, FCC regulations, and best practices
- Studio produce during live remotes and sports broadcasts
Commitment:
- Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, no more than 50 hours per month
- Internship Program term:
- August 20 – May 15
Requirements:
- Must be a SHSU student in good standing in an appropriate discipline
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean record
- Must be willing to take direction and learn new skills
