Weather pending, TxDOT will have overnight closures on IH 45 Southbound the nights of Tuesday, Feb. 17, and Wednesday, Feb. 18. These closures are needed to perform maintenance striping on the main lanes.
IH 45 Southbound Closure – Tuesday Night, Feb. 17, 2026:
- 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. – IH 45 Southbound will be closed at Exit 116 (US 190/SH 30). Traffic will detour to the IH 45 frontage road and will be able to re-enter IH 45 at the entrance ramp across from Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
IH 45 Southbound Closure – Wednesday Night, Feb. 18, 2026:
- 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. – IH 45 Southbound will be closed at Exit 115 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road). Traffic will detour to the IH 45 frontage road and will be able to re-enter IH 45 at the entrance ramp across from Huntsville Toyota.
Message boards are in place to alert drivers, and law enforcement will be on site to help keep traffic moving.
