Community Impact reports that on December 11th the Conroe City Council will take up the consideration of the next operating and capital budget for the Hyatt Regency Conroe Hotel and Convention Center and possible changes to how much organizers pay to close city streets.
Managing the city-owned facility on behalf of the city, the hotel project is overseen by the Conroe Local Government Corporation.
In a move that would affect parades, festivals and other events that require street blocking, the council is set to discuss and consider permit fees for street closures.
Also, the council will review awarding a contract for a new mobile fare ticketing system for Conroe fixed-route transit services and for Conroe Connection’s commuter bus.
The council will meet on December 11th at 9:30 AM at Conroe City Hall.
