Community Impact reports that on September 9th the Montgomery City Council voted to grant a special use permit letting H-E-B include a drive-thru for a future restaurant on its planned grocery store site.
According to permit documents, the permit applies to a 31.97-acre tract at the southeast corner of Highway 105 and FM 2854. The staff told the council that the location of the drive-thru will be on the east side of the building with vehicle stacking positioned toward the rear of the store.
The drive-thru will not impact traffic flow on Highway 105, according to city officials. The request was previously reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission and got their recommended approval.
