Several transportation projects are on tap around the Conroe area.
Having been set to get underway in the first quarter of 2025, between South Loop 336 North and Gladstell Street, Highway 75 will undergo improvements such as underseal base repair and planing. Completion is set for the fourth quarter of 2025 at a cost of $3.3 million dollars in state funds.
I-45 was set to undergo a high-occupancy vehicle lane extension between FM 1488 and South Loop 336 the second quarter of 2025 with a completion date in the fourth quarter of 2025 at a cost of $1.3 million from federal and state funds.
Between 10th Street and South Loop 336, Highway 105 is being widened from two to four lanes. Construction began in March of 2023 and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2028. The cost is $52.7 million in state funds.
South Loop 336 is being widened from two to four lanes with a continuous left turn lane between I-45 and Ladera Creek Trace. It’s been underway since November of 2024 and is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2027. The cost is $20.6 million in state funds.
High mast LED poles are being installed along the mainlanes of I-45 between FM 830 and Shepard Hill Road. The project got underway in February of 2025 and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026. The cost is $1.45 million in state funds.
