The Huntsville Item reports that the Board of Trustees of the Huntsville Independent School District have called a special meeting for Wednesday, April 2, following the arrest of a teacher at Huntsville ISD. On Thursday March 27th, the arrest and charges of the teacher were implemented for an improper relationship between an educator and a student.
On Wednesday, March 26th, according to an HPD spokesperson a tip was received, and by Thursday there was enough evidence to make the arrest without a warrant.
A bond was set for the teacher at $7,500 while the teacher was held at the Walker County Jail. On March 28th, records show the teacher was released. Due to Item policy, the name of the suspect was not released at this time.
