Wednesday night, an American Eagle Jet carrying 64 people crashed into the Potomac River near Washington, D.C. The jet collided midair with a military helicopter on a training flight as the jet approached Ronald Reagan Airport.
Sixty passengers and four crewmembers were aboard the jet, while the army helicopter had a crew of three aboard.
Rescue teams began a search for any survivors. As of 6:30 this morning 27 bodies had been recovered.
