Huntsville’s old Town Theatre will be hosting the CMA of Texas Singer/Songwriter Showcase on Sunday January 12 from 3 to 6 PM.
The CMA of Texas will present a total of 11 songwriters, each performing two original tunes and one tribute to the audience of friends, family and fans. Each member of the audience will score the performer on four qualities: vocal, song content, instrument, and performance using a scoring system of 1 – 5 (1 being lowest and 5 highest). The scoring is for the artist to get an impression of how the audience viewed him/her that particular day and has no other value or competitive edge. Each artist performing becomes a member of the CMA of Texas and is eligible for consideration of awards and other opportunities afforded by the CMA of Texas.
Buck Yeager, a multi-award-winning CMA of Texas artist, will open the show with a performance.
Jesse Roach, also a multi-award-winning CMA of Texas artist, will close the show with a performance.
