A number of wonderful events are scheduled for this Christmas season in Huntsville.
Huntsville’s free Community Christmas Luncheon is Tuesday December 17th from 11 AM to 2 PM at the HEARTS Veterans Museum inside the storm shelter. The public is invited.
The African children’s Choir will perform in Huntsville tonight at 7 at the First Presbyterian Church. There will be children’s tunes, spiritual songs and music from African culture.
Huntsville State Park invites everyone to a Holiday Party in the Lodge at Raven Lodge on the lake this Saturday from 5 to 7 PM. The event will offer holiday music, refreshments, crafts, activities for the children and s’mores.
The Huntsville Public Library will feature Pictures and Cookies with Santa this Saturday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Children can write Santa a letter or two and drop it in the North Pole Express Mailbox.
The Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Republic of Texas Presidential Library will host a Houston Family Christmas this Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. You can see what Christmas was like in the 1850’s.
Meet Santa at the Statue this Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Sam Houston Statue and Visitors Center. Children can decorate cookies, make crafts and get pictures with Santa.
The American Legion Sam Houston Post 95 in Huntsville will host Photos with Santa Saturday from 9 AM to 11 AM. They’ll have a vintage fire truck on display and offer cookies and cocoa.
Local Choral groups will perform Christmas music for the community at 7 PM on Tuesday, December 17th, at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville. It will be a Community Choirs Concert by the Huntsville Community Choir, Alpha Omega Academy, Bell Chanson and University Heights.
Walker County’s Republican Party and Republican Women invite the community to their Christmas Open House, Thursday, December 19th from 3 to 5:30 PM. They’ll have light refreshments.
Chick-Fil-A of Huntsville invites everyone to Family Night with Santa Cow Tuesday, December 17th from 5 to 7 PM. Chick-Fil-A is partnering with the Huntsville Police Department Victim Services on a book drive. Bring a children’s book and get one offer card for a free entree.
