In Huntsville Police news, looking back over the past several days:
Last Thursday, in a case of criminal mischief an unknown person forcibly entered a building in the 600 block of I-45 South and caused damage. A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Avenue N. In a vehicle burglary in the 400 block of 14th street, an unknown person took a wallet and later used the victim’s credit card. In the 2600 block of State Highway 19, Darren McClain was arrested for attempting to tamper with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and on a retaliation warrant. At the same address, Heather McClain was arrested for attempting to tamper with evidence and possession of marijuana. In the 2400 block of Sam Houston Avenue, Mark William Offut was arrested for the unlawful carrying of a weapon.
On Friday, in a case reported from the 100 block of I-45 South, an unknown person used another’s credit card without permission. In a disturbance in the 2800 block of Lake Road, a known suspect threatened a person. In the 1200 block of 8th Street, Juan Valdez-Pena was arrested for assaulting a family member with a knife and on County warrants. In the 100 block of I-45, Cheyenne Giannette was arrested for theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. In the 600 block of I-45 South, in a domestic disturbance case, Gary Sykes, Jr. was arrested for interfering with public duties. At the same address, Brandie Brown was arrested for interfering with public duties, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. At the same address Charles Grigsby was arrested for trespassing.
On Saturday, a theft was reported in the 2600 block of 11th Street. An unknown person stole money by deception in the 500 block of FM 2821 West. Property was stolen in the first 100 block of FM 247. An assault was reported at Kate Barr Ross Park. Mario Alberto was arrested on County warrants in the 700 block of US 190.
On Sunday, a theft was investigated in the 1700 block of 11th Street. A possibly known suspect assaulted a person in the 2500 block of Sam Houston Avenue.
