The Courier of Montgomery County has passed a long info on farmers markets in Montgomery County.
The Main Street Market can be found at 301 North Thompson in Conroe in front of the Montgomery County Courthouse. They’re open from 10 AM to 2 PM each Saturday. Farralyn Withrow initiated the Main Street Market in April of 2021 in the downtown juror parking lot before moving to North Thompson Street. With most being located in Montgomery County, the market consists of locally owned small businesses. A regular produce vendor at the market is Deep Roots Farm 2 Table. Their crops recently suffered from Hurricane Beryl, so their produce will be supplemented from PEAS Farm in the county. PEAS supplies squash, tomatoes, bell peppers and onions.
The Farmers Market at Grogan’s Mill is located at 7 Switchbud Place in the Woodlands in the Grogan’s Mill Center. They’re open from 9 AM to Noon on Saturday during the summer. They offer over 60 vendors and offer produce, prepared foods, pet items, beverages, farm-fresh meats, health and beauty items, artisan goods and food trucks. Profits from the market are sent on to the community via Grogan’s Mill Village Association’s charity projects.
The New Caney Community Market operates at 11985 Grand Parkway, in the Valley Ranch Town Center. They’re open from 11 AM to 3 PM the first and third Sundays of the month. During August, the market will be open only on the first Sunday. Then in September the markets will go back to their first and third Sunday schedule. At the market, you will find 60 to 65 vendors offering honey, fresh produce, fresh-baked bread, candles, artisan items, clothing, flowers and plants.
The Montgomery Farmers Market is located at 19785 Texas 105 West at the KOA Holiday Campground. You’ll find them open 9 AM to Noon on Saturdays. The vendors have available grass-fed beef, baked goods, pasture raised chickens, raw milk, free range eggs, produce and micro-greens. The vendors also make available to kids, health and homestead classes and cooking classes.
