There are a lot of events ahead in Conroe in August. The Courier of Montgomery County has passed along some of them.
Known as the largest resale event in Texas, the Just Between Friends Back-to School sale is coming up Thursday at the Lone Star Convention Center and Expo Center at 9055 Airport Road in Conroe. It continues through August 4th. The annual sale takes in over 53,000 square feet with an expected 200,000 items and over 900 sellers. It happens Thursday through Friday. Thursday is presale day. They’re open Friday 9 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 9 to 5 and Sunday 10 to 4.
The Southern Star Beer Run is ahead. It’s a 5K run from 8 to 11 AM August 10th at the Southern Star Brewery Grounds. For prices, check the Run in Texas website.
On August 17th, the Funky Junque Market is back at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe from 9 AM to 5 PM. There will be 125 small business vendors on hand with fall and holiday items. They’ll have handcrafted items and décor. Admission is $5 at the door.
On August 24th, The music festival Texas Red Fest is scheduled to start at 2 PM at Heritage Place Park in downtown Conroe. Tickets go for $30. The bands featured include Rehab, The Lacs, Justin Champagne, Austin Toliver and Cypress Spring.
August 31st through September 1st at the Lone Star Convention center, everyone is invited to a Wellness Expo. Featured will be services and products for mind, body and spirit from over 75 exhibitors. They’ll have for sale energized jewelry and stones, nutritional products, essential oils and air purifiers. It’ll take place 11 AM to 6 PM. It’s $7 for admission.
