FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY PRESENTATION ON THE HUNTSVILLE PRISON UNIT HOSTAGE SIEGE AHEAD

The Texas Prison Museum will acknowledge the 50^th anniversary of the July 24, 1974 hostage seige, one of the longest hostage-taking seiges in United States history which occurred in the Huntsville Prison Unit. The Texas Prison Museum will commemorate this event by hosting a panel of individuals, whose respective agencies were present at this significant historical occurrence, to discuss the 11-day siege. To accommodate the community, the panel will offer two sessions, one at 10 AM and the second at 2 PM Saturday, July 27^th.
