In a public hearing before the Huntsville City Council Tuesday night, councilmembers were open to public comment and discussed the adoption of an ordinance to consider approval of the Development Plan for the Planned Development of the approximately 86.56-acre tract of land adjacent to the 150 block of FM 247 and also just east of American Legion Drive located on Walker County Property. There was no public input other than the principals of the planned effort.
These will be homes priced from the 140’s to the lower 220’s on smaller than usual lots.
City Planner Armon Irones informed councilmembers:
They will have one, two and three bedroom homes available. About 5 percent will be one bedroom, 20 percent two bedroom and 75 percent 3 bedroom homes. Further approvals will be sought. The First Reading on the plan was also accomplished at Tuesday night’s session.
