The Houston Food Bank is preparing to supply up to 320 families with shelf stable (i.e. non-perishable, non-refrigerated) food supplies. Volunteers are needed. Area families who have suffered food loss due to electrical outages/storm damage are invited to participate.
The Disaster Food Distribution is also hosted by SHSU.
It will take place this Thursday, July 18th, noon to 2 PM, at SHSU, Bowers Boulevard. Stadium Parking lot 14. It’s for Walker County, surrounding communities, and Bearkat Students and Families.
It’s a drive-through distribution for those affected by Hurricane Beryl.
