Community Impact has passed along several fun events planned in Montgomery County this summer. Here are some of them–
“Into the Woods” is coming to the Owen Theatre. It’s a play incorporating fairy tales. Show times are May 24-25 at 7:30 PM and May 26 at 2 PM. The theatre is located at 225 Metcalf in Conroe. Tickets are $25.
Jose Hernandez, a NASA astronaut and entrepreneur, will be the guest speaker at the Lone Star College Office System community building. It’s presented by the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber’s Hispanic Business Symposium. It’ll be held on May 31st from 7 AM to 1 PM at 5000 Research Forest Drive in Spring. Tickets are $200 for non-members, $125 for members.
The animated comedy “Minions” is coming to Heritage Park May 31 at 8 PM at 500 Metcalf in Conroe. It’s free.
The KimoKawaii Anime Convention is coming to the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center at 9055 Airport Road in Conroe on June 1 from 10 AM to 8 PM and June 2 from 10 AM to 5 PM. A weekend pass is $50, Saturday pass $30 and Sunday pass $25.
Escape will be performing as part of Conroe’s series of concerts. Performances will be June 6th and 7th at 500 Metcalf in Conroe. It’s free.
Outrun Hungers 5K Run/Walk for the Montgomery County Food Bank will be June 8 from 8 to 11 AM at the Lake House at Grand Central Park at 1039 Lake House Drive in Conroe. It’s $30 for the Color Dash registration fee and $50 for the 5K trail run.
The Billy Joel Experience with tribute musician Piano Man playing Joel’s hits will take place June 8 at 7:30 PM at the Crighton Theatre at 234 Main Street in Conroe. The admission is $59.
