In Walker County Commissioners Court Monday, commissioners discussed a resolution concerning the grant awarded to the Criminal District Attorney under the Rural Prosecutor Salary Assistance Program.
District Attorney Will Durham told the court that the office was awarded the grant, and they have “prepared a detailed resolution.”
The grant is for two years.Commissioner Kuykendall brought up that the grant might go away following the two years.
In response, Assistant District Attorney Quentin Russell informed the court that in regard to filling in the prosecutors.
Commissioners accepted the resolution.
