Early Voting clerk Diana McRae is sending out a quick reminder that the VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE for the upcoming May 4, 2024 General Election is Thursday, April 4th. Voters who are not currently registered, are encouraged to stop by the Walker County Voter Registration Office located at 1301 Sam Houston Ave., Ste. 114 and complete an application on or before the April 4th deadline.
Please keep in mind that the May 4, 2024 General Election is NOT the Primary Election(s) Runoff. If applicable, the Primary Election(s) Runoff will be on Tuesday, May 28th. Only those voters that are registered in the Emergency Service District No. 3 and the Riverside Special Utility District will be eligible to vote in the May 4th election(s).
EARLY VOTING for May 4th elections begins Monday, April 22nd at the Walker County Storm Shelter.

Dates: Monday, April 22nd through Friday, April 26th 8 to 5. Then Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, April 30th 8 to 5.

ELECTION DAY will be Saturday, May 4th. Registered voters of the particular Districts may cast their vote at either of the following polling locations between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters are only eligible to vote in the districts in which they live and are registered in.
If a voter is 65 years of age or older on Election Day, has a disability, is expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day, is confined in jail, or will be outside the county during early voting hours and on Election Day, the voter can apply to VOTE BY MAIL. Applications must be received by the Walker County Early Voting Clerk no later than 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 23rd.
