Community Impact has updated news of the Montgomery City Council’s March 12th meeting. They report that within the Council’s “Consent Agenda,” an escrow agreement with H-E-B was approved. The city engineer was also given authorization to put together a feasibility study. The study should be complete in 47 days.
In the council’s agenda packet, the escrow agreement requires H-E-B to pay for the cost of the city engineer’s review of the civil site plans. The review will cost the grocer $4,000.
H-E-B had recently reached out to the city about getting the development of the site underway.
At the southeast corner of Highway 105 and FM 2854, H-E-B’s tract of land covers 32.42 acres.
In an effort to find out what is needed, the feasibility study will conduct an analytical evaluation of the city’s wastewater, water and drainage systems to see if utility extensions or upgrades are required.
The same “Consent Agenda” includes the approval of several other items:
A feasibility study and escrow agreement for a 56-acre single-family residential development proposal along the northeast corridor of Lone Star Parkway.
A feasibility study and escrow agreement for a 108.8 acre single-family proposed residential development close to the west side of Conroe.
An escrow agreement for the renovation of Montgomery High School with Montgomery ISD.
