The Montgomery County Courier reports that a lot of fun stuff is still ahead for Conroe:
“The SpongeBob Musical” continues through Sunday March 25th at the Owen Theatre. For tickets, go to OwenTheatre.com.
The Greater Conroe Arts Festival is ahead. It takes place March 16th from 10 AM to 4 PM at Founder Plaza Park. There will be interactive activities and free entertainment for the family. At the festival they’ll have a hands-on Kids Art Village, a Fine Art Village, a kid’s mural and a musical petting zoo. Those interested can be part of the Quilt Walk, make pottery or paint. As part of the Arts Alliance, there will be two film festival shows. In the morning beginning at 10 AM, they’ll show five documentaries. From 4 to 6 PM, half a dozen local film makers will have their work presented. For information, check out CrightonTheatre.org.
And here’s what happens in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day:
The Annual St. Patricks Day Chilli Cook-Off gets underway on Saturday at VFW 4709 at 1303 West Semands in Conroe.
At 202 Main in Conroe, on Saint Patrick’s Day the event will be celebrated with food, live music and drink specials.
On Sunday, at 4 PM, the 26th Annual St. Paddy Walking Parade begins at 4 PM. Be at The Corner Pub Conroe at 3:30 PM for festivities. In honor of the late founder of the parade, Mike McDougal, bring fun socks for Montgomery County Youth Service kids and homeless people.
