At Walker County Commissioners Court this week, Commissioner Bill Daugette discussed damage to bridges from recent rains . . . .
Commissioner White said his precinct “took quite a bit of damage.” Commissioner Daugette said he spoke with John Waldo at the Texas Department of Emergency Management and Houston area emergency management officials to discuss, “Were there any state funds for this?”
Commissioner Decker suggested setting up a bridge fund. They possibly might look at that in the future.
Commissioners discussed that looking for state funds was a good idea. Commissioner Daugette will continue his efforts to find funding.
