Community Impact has passed along several events that will get underway this weekend in Conroe and Montgomery.
On March 8th, check out the Concert in the Park from 6 to 8 PM. Families are invited to come and enjoy the music of Zach Jones. The free event takes place at 885 Pine Market Avenue in Montgomery. For more info, check out facebook.com/pinemarkettexas.
Those of you into gardening might want to check out a seminar hosted by Texas A&M Extension University featuring a Montgomery County Master Gardener discussing the history, propagation and care of fig trees. It costs $5, and takes place March 9th from 9 to 11 AM at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Montgomery County, 9020 Airport Road in Conroe. Find out more at mcmga.com.
A fundraiser for the Texas Wolfdog Project is featuring a seafood boil. The ambassador wolfdogs will be there. It all takes place March 9th from 4 to 8 PM at 24874 Weeren Road in Montgomery. Are you familiar with SpongeBob? Well, there’s a SpongeBob musical getting underway with three showings at the Owen Theatre. It all happens March 8th through 10th at 7:30 PM. They will also have some 2 PM shows. The cost for the event is $25. The Owen Theatre is located at 225 Metcalf Street in Conroe. You’ll find their website at owentheatre.com.
And, there is Comic Conroe coming up this weekend. It’s a comic convention with workshops, panels, celebrity autographs and a vendor market. A gaming tournament will also be held. There will also be a cosplay contest and cosplay meet-ups. It’s March 8th through 10th with a $40 weekend pass at the Lone Star Convention Center at 9055 Airport Road in Conroe.
