The Board of Managers of the Walker County Hospital District met Wednesday evening.
Among several things underway at the hospital, CEO Patrick Shannon gave the Board an update on a new physician at the hospital.
A chief medical officer is a senior level position where licensed physicians oversee clinical operations.
CEO Shannon also passed along that recently the hospital won an award.
