Checking Huntsville Police news over the past few days:
On Monday, a known suspect sexually assaulted a person in the 100 block of Pine Valley. In the 1200 block of 21st Street, an unknown suspect was reported to have stolen mail back on December 27th. In the 2500 block of Sam Houston, a known suspect was found to possess from 1 to less than 4 grams of a controlled substance.
On Tuesday, a residential burglary was investigated in the 400 block of Brunch. In the 2100 block of State Highway 30 East, a possibly known suspect used a victim’s identifying information to open an account. In the 400 block of Augusta, an unidentified suspect also used a victim’s identifying information. In the 100 block of I-45 North, a firearm was found and turned into the police department. In the 2800 block of Angier, Jeremy Hope was arrested for assault on a public servant, interfering with public duties and resisting arrest, search or transport. A juvenile was arrested for assaulting a person in the 500 block of FM 2821. in the 1200 block of 11th Street, Shakala Shutter was arrested for resisting, fraud and DWI.
On Wednesday, a firearm was located in the 800 block of Avenue C and secured at headquarters. Three thefts were investigated—one in the 7000 block of Highway 75 South, another in the 1200 block of 13th Street and a third in the 2600 block of 11th Street. Property was reported damaged in the 2300 block of Lake Road.
