Tracing one’s family geneaology is a widespread effort nowadays. Mark your calendar for the The Huntsville Public Library and Walker County Genealogical Society annual Genealogy Open House and Lock-In from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 17 at the library. Beginners and longtime researchers are all invited to stay on and continue their research until 6:00 p.m. Society members will be available to assist in all areas of research. You’re asked to bring all your paperwork. A silent auction of books of all genres and genealogical materials will be held beginning at noon on Monday, February 12, continuing during the week and ending at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 17. Register online, or contact Adult Services Coordinator Mary Kokot at 936-291-5471 for more information.
