The Courier of Montgomery County reports that Dan Wilds has been appointed by Montgomery County Commissioners to the county engineer position. He is taking the place of Jeff Johnson, who is retiring.
Wilds began working for the county as assistant county engineer in 2002. He took over the job officially on December 31.
At the December 19th Commissioners’ meeting, Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley spoke favorably about Johnson and his work for the county for the past 16 years.
Back in 2019, Johnson was assigned to take over the post of county engineer in the place of Engineer Mark Mooney who was retiring following 34 years of work.
