Our guest on our “Around Town” public affairs program broadcast over the weekend was New Waverly Fire Department District Chief Jimmy Williams.
We talked with him about fire safety at home, in the light of Christmas coming up. He passed along a warning about something that’s often included with Christmas gifts.
He suggested setting a timer for when to unplug your charger. He also advised not to order the cheaper lithium batteries from overseas, as they could present a fire hazard.
