PRESS RELEASE FROM CITY OF HUNTSVILLE
The City of Huntsville says they have been made aware of the taste and odor issue that some of the citizens of Huntsville are experiencing again. After speaking with their surface water supplier, Trinity River Authority, it has been determined that they have experienced a calibration issue with their Taste and Odor treatment system at their plant. A tech was dispatched Monday, and the issue has been resolved on their end and the City is diligently working to flush their system as well as mix in well water to help. Although the water continues to pass bacteriological testing, it may continue to be aesthetically unpleasant for the next day or two in some areas and longer in others. There are NO restrictions on the use of the water at this time. They will continue to monitor and work at correcting the issue within their system.
