KHOU-11 reports that yesterday morning firefighters from four counties finally put out a huge chemical fire at the Sound Resource Solutions chemical plant in Shepherd.
The event began with an explosion that took place at 8:17 AM yesterday. The fire continued for hours.
Within a one-mile radius of the plant yesterday, residents were asked to shelter-in-place. One plant worker was injured and transported to the hospital but was later expected to go home.
