The National Commission Against Domestic Violence reports, “On average nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.”
In continuing to help get the word out, accompanied by officials of SAAFE House at Commissioners’ Court at their last regular session, Commissioner Daugette passed along to those in attendance:
This “Consent Agenda” item was approved by the court. SAAFE House was also given permission to place ribbons on trees around the courthouse and hold signs for Domestic Violence Awareness Month on the corners of the courthouse sidewalk on October 19th.
