Community Impact reports that the Conroe City Council unanimously gave approval at their September 14th regular meeting to their fiscal year tax rate, operating budget and capital improvement program.
The Fiscal Year 2023-24 agenda documents for September 14th show:
–The general fund budget for Conroe will have $124 million in revenues and $122 million in expenditures.
–The city will have the same tax rate it had for Fiscal Year 2022-23, which is $0.4272 per $100 valuation.
–Spending for general government capital projects, the cities capital improvement program, will be $8.3 million. The amount does not include funding from other resources, for example, the general fund.
In regard to Capital Improvement Projects, in the realm of government projects, the city plans on spending, in specific categories:
–On street projects, $4.5 million.
–On signal projects, $1.03 million
–On drainage projects, $2.64 million.
–On parks projects, $200,000.
