KBTX Channel 3 reported that in Walker County on Monday, Texas A&M Forest Service responded to a 51-acre fire. The article reports that, according to Walker County Emergency Management, the fire was located near FM 247 and Lost Indian Camp Road.
The fire was 100% contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Services Incident Viewer.
The Huntsville Item reported that Sunday large fires were responded to by the Crabbs Prairie Fire Department. A wildfire was reported at 6:15 PM off Roberts Road close to FM 1696. The Forest Service also came to their aid. Another fire was reported off Louis Voan Road in the Pine Prairie District.
Forty acres were estimated to have been burned at the Roberts Road Fire. It’s estimated that five acres were burned at the Louis Voan Road Fire.
