Lone Star College is made up of seven campuses located throughout the North Houston metro area, serving 1,400 square miles in Harris and Montgomery Counties.
Community Impact reports that a program for certification in electrical technology has been added to the Lone Star College System starting this fall.
The college is making available the Electrical Technology Certificate Level 1 at the LSC-Houston North Victory campus in the fall. Students will be able to study residential and commercial wiring, the national electrical code, electrical drafting plans and the essentials of safety. This certificate at level I will lead into Lone Star College’s Electric Vehicle Charging Station Installation and Maintenance Technician Certificate II program.
Needed equipment for hands-on learning will be provided by the college.
In spring 2024, the new program gets underway at the Bethune Empowerment Center in Acres Homes.
The program for the electrical technology Associate of Applied Science degree program is available at LSC-Tomball, North Harris and Creekside Center.
