Because on May 23rd the City of Huntsville experienced “severe weather, flooding, damaging winds, tornadic activity, downed trees and multiple days of power outages,” the Mayor of Huntsville Andy Brauninger “has determined that measures must be taken to alleviate the suffering of people and to protect or rehabilitate property, City streets and City facilities.” So, he has declared a local state of disaster for the City of Huntsville.
