The Courier of Montgomery County reports that Lindsey Commercial Properties is turning three well known locations into multiple-use developments that feature office, upscale downtown living and retail in Conroe.
The properties include the former site of the Conroe Hotel, the former Everett Hardware site and more recently the Homestead House furniture store and the site of the former Simonton-Cable Motor Company.
Costs of the project are not yet available.
Everett Hardware at 108 Simonton closed back in 1998. It had been in business for 89 years. The building was demolished by the city of Conroe in 2019. The new structure, called “The Everett,” will offer 25,000 square feet of retail storefronts which will include dining and shopping.
At 201 North Pacific Street, the Homestead House will become Pacific Lofts. The first story of the building will be retail and the other floors will feature loft-style apartments for rent.
Site number three at 150 North Main Steeet will feature a new building that will look like a pair of buildings named Simonton-Cable. Floor one will feature retail storefronts, floors two through four will have executive suites featuring a rooftop terrace accessible via the fourth floor.
Total projects should be completed in 2025.
