The Courier of Montgomery County reports that at their March 21st meeting, Conroe ISD Trustees agreed to give Superintendent Null the authority to hire teachers for the District during the next four months. The purpose is to be able to secure more teachers for the upcoming year.
At present, time spent interviewing a candidate to getting approval of the board can take up to six weeks.
Superintendent Null said, “Meanwhile, they don’t want to resign from their previous job because they want to have a contract in front of them.” In Texas districts, teachers, librarians and other educators must adhere to one-year contracts.”
