On Friday morning, Entergy Texas presented SHSU with a check for $255,000 to help fund the installation of a solar-powered electric vehicle charging station.
The grant was issued through EIF, or Entergy’s Environmental Initiatives Fund. At the check presentation, Senior Manager of EIF David Triplett passed along:
SHSU Engineering Professor, Dr. Reg Pecen said the charging station provides 33KW. When not in use for vehicles, the power will go to the nearby Hoyt Art Building.
