On Friday, March 3rd, at 8:11 PM Walker County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in the 20 block of Ashworth Rd. in Walker County.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased female at the location. Throughout the course of the investigation a suspect was identified as 59-year-old Lawrence Cobb.
Cobb turned himself in to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and confessed to the crime. As of the last report, Cobb was being held at the Walker County Jail for Murder, a first-degree felony, on a $500,000 bond.
At this time, the investigation is ongoing, and the Sheriff’s office will release information as it is available.
