he Walker County Office of Emergency Management reports that as of Thursday, November 19th, yesterday, that their office, DSHS, hospitals and clinics report that there were among members of the community, 144 active cases of coronavirus and 22 fatalities. Among the community, not verified by DSHS and not in totals previously mentioned, there were 901 active cases and 8 fatalities. There were 5 active cases reported among offenders and 37 fatalities.

The free coronavirus drive-though program is underway at 125 Medical Park Lane in Huntsville. The hours are, through the 25th, Monday through Friday, 4 to 8 PM, and Saturday 8 AM to Noon and Sunday Noon to 4 PM. November 26th through the 29th they will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holidays.

On November 30th, the final day, they will have extended hours 8 AM to 8 PM. Appointments are no longer required, and results are returned in 3 to 5 days.
