HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT

The Huntsville City Council will meet in regular session at City Hall tonight at six.

The meeting will also be broadcast live on HuntsvilleTX.gov/Meetings or on Facebook.

Tonight’s “Consent Agenda” includes a contract for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes in the RC-04 Basin, a sub-basin of the Robinson Creek Watershed.

Also tonight, there will be a “First Reading” of an ordinance for the proposed dis-annexation of approximately 147.33 acres located on the east side of FM 1791, near the intersection of State Highway 30 and FM 1791, and known as “Area G.2” Also tonight, there will be a presentation on the preliminary budget for the Fiscal Year 2020-2021, including updates to major funds and how the new budget compares to 2019-20.

In the Citizen Participation category, Allan Rushing will talk about local police; Jason Copes will introduce the Community Peace Coalition and Jason January will speak to the council regarding not receiving his retirement insurance.
