The Walker County Office of Emergency Management reported as of Monday, July 6, at 4 PM, 440 active cases of coronavirus in the county, with 188 recovered, and still 3 deceased. Please note that 87 new community cases have been reported since the last report on July 2.
They report that at TDCJ facilities country wide there were 33 active cases reported among offenders, with 1,598 recovered and 28 deceased.
Among employees at Walker County units, they report 43 active cases and 163 recovered.
We continue to remind you that the next community testings are July 8, July 22 and July 23, 9 AM to 6 PM, at the Walker County Fairgrounds. Symptoms do not have to be present to test; however, you must register at txcovidtest.org or call 512-883-2400. A valid I-D is required at the test site. Registration begins 24 hours prior.
