The Walker County Office of Emergency Management reported as of 2 PM, Thursday, July 2, that among regular residents there were 355 active cases of Coronavirus in the county, with 186 recovered and 3 deceased. They reported last Thursday afternoon that there were 42 new community cases since the last report of July 1,
Also on Thursday afternoon, their report from TDCJ facilities in Walker County records 32 active cases, 1608 recovered cases and 28 deceased.
The next community testings are on July 8, July 22 and July 23, 9 AM to 6 PM, at the Walker County Fairgrounds. Symptoms do not have to be present to test; however, you must register at txcovidtest.org or call 512-883-2400. Registration begins 48 hours prior.
