The Huntsville City Council will a regular have meeting tonight at six at City Hall.

Prior to the regular session, at 5 o’clock they will have a Workshop to discuss SHSU’s proposed water reclamation project.

Tonight, Workforce Solutions will have a presentation, and there will be a Spring 90 Proclamation.

On tonight’s “Statutory Agenda,” Director of Development Services Kevin Byal will have a First Reading to talk about the adoption of an ordinance to approve regulating the operation of Sharable Mobiliity Devices. Also, City Engineer Ram Ramachandra will have a First Reading to consider authorizing the City Manager to award the construction for the 2018 CDBG Water System Improvement Project. He will also discuss considering authorizing the City Manager to execute a Change Order for the 2016 Proposition 3 Waterline Construction Project.

At tonight’s meeting, City Attorney Leonard Schneider, in a First Reading, will discuss considering action to adopt an ordinance to suspend the increased gas rates proposed on or about November 14, 2019 by CenterPoint Energy Resources Corporation in the Beaumont/East Texas Services Division Area and authorizing hiring of lawyers and rate experts.

Councilmembers will discuss items of community interest.

In closed Executive Session, the council will receive legal advice on the annexation of Areas “A” through “G”and lawsuits filed as Billingsley et al versus the City of Huntsville regarding annexation. They will also receive legal advice on a claim against Danny Sanders II.

They will reconvene to take action on items discussed in Executive Session, if needed.
