In Huntsville Police news, on the day shift Monday police answered a dispatch to an overdose type call in the 1900 block of Avenue N where a known person had ingested “copious amounts” of prescription medication. At 19th and Sam Houston Avenue, a vehicle hit a pedestrian—the pedestrian refused EMS. Three thefts were investigated—one in the 2200 block of Bobby K Marks, a second in the 400 block of Sunnyside Street and a third in the 2600 block of 11th Street. A forgery case was investigated in the 1900 block of Quality Boulevard. In the 200 block of I-45 South, Alexis Lugo was arrested for attempted sexual assault, possession of a controlled substance, public lewdness, possession of marijuana, DWI and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

On the night shift Monday, a known suspect in the 200 block of FM 980 was reported to have assaulted his daughter.
